As I close my eyes, as so to speak

I feel these visions, as though in sleep

I see my hopes, I run to them

I see my fears, I hide from them

I see all the things I want to see

And dread the rest that come at me

I see lands fading, lifting into the air

with them carried the ones I care

I try to grab them and never let go

But my will grew tired and drifted off so

My eyes grow weary of this travel

As I contemplate and sigh of all that unravel

I look at the remaining images for as long as they can dawn

And in a flash all that I have seen is gone.
