World Go 'Round

This feeling that has overcome me
Is like none other before.
You have restored the faith
that I have been waiting for.

A lost little kid, but somehow you found
what was left of my childhood.
I was scared and confused,
but you made everything alright.

With you, the stars in the sky rest peacefully.
The fish in the sea live for one more night
while the fishermen are out loving their wives,
because you make the world go ‘round; world go ‘round.

Fame isn’t all it’s cracked up to be
When you aren’t here next to me.
All I can think about is how long it is;
Until I can see you again

But when it is cold outside;
I like to go out into the night and sing our song;
like we did all those years ago.
I still remember what you said to me;
about how you’d always love me
and I never knew it was all a lie.

With you, the stars in the sky rest peacefully.
The fish in the sea live for one more night
while the fishermen are out loving their wives,
because you make the world go ‘round; world go ‘round.

A year ago if I could go back, I would.
But now, now I know what came out of your lies.
I’ve learned the greatest lesson of all;
and that is the world still goes ‘round without you.
