This World Is

Shadows, light; constantly battling

Danger approaching; what’s left shall not remain—

Giving our chances now, when all seems lost

Backing down is no longer an option.

This world is... unbelievable

Always on the edge; bowing down

And if we listen hard enough

I bet we can hear the angels’ song.

Lies, truth; both are clashing together

Don’t want to let the other win, not today—

But reason lies within a fight, no matter how deep

Caught up in wonder, caution, and ruin.

This world is... dangerous

Living when no other world would have

Breaking the ties of time and space

Full of millions and billions of habits unknown.

Differences, similarities; unlike in every way

War breaks; one of them falls, but gets right back up—

Never shall we understand, why this world is changing

Always one step further, one reach out of sync.

This world is... strange

Doesn’t know what to do itself

Like every other person living here

It wishes for a rebirth; a second chance.

Life, death; never the same

How they bring shame, of unawareness—

Living up to expectations, was never theirs

And it still never will be.

This world is... Everlasting

Nothing stands while it’s changing

Water flows, fire erupts; forming something

Something... that will change this world, of ours... forever.
