The Words In A Line

Thu, 04/28/2022 - 14:44 -- Vex

The words dance across the page in a line

Forming structure like the bones in a spine

And as I get along just fine,

I can’t keep my mind off of the words in a line

The letters flow freely across the page

Putting the reader and me on the center stage

And as it take us from tale to tale,

You’d never think it could get stale

As I join them in their lively dance

They lead my hand in a trance

And as the story begins to take form,

I will always yearn for it to become more

And though I know where it might go,

The journey takes me down the road,

That way I can always show,

That for so long as I write, my aspirations glowed

So at the end of the day,

The stories will end and it’s okay

For when the words realign,

They’ll take me dancing, once again, with the words in a line
