The Words of Christ

Looking outward to things, like philosophy,
religion, politics with a hunger for meaning
and truth, sometimes helped me sometimes
not. Though sometimes in parables and in
words that have to be spiritually discerned to
understand, Jesus spoke plainly.
His teachings were not esoteric or
swept up in philosophical abstraction
If ye have ears he says listen.
But it must be discerned and understood
through The Spirit.
The eyes of The Spirit that sees
not in shades and veils
I still feel that I can read what I want, but
many books if they don't point in the direction
of Christ, have their hopes too much in
the world, which after all is only temporary.
A train station a waiting room of tired souls
