They wanted to call us colored
But what did colored mean
To a population with crops dying
Radiation spewing across the sky
Changes from green to dead
And blue to hidden
Just as society aimed to eliminate the fundamentals of the racial rainbow
So did the atmosphere sense the affects as well
Racial slurs crowded around in the drums of ears
N dash dash this
N bleep bleep that
They call us colored
But their words were black and white
