The Woman in Blues

Thu, 02/28/2013 - 18:22 -- Minixd

I see a woman dressed in blues singing a blues
I see a woman dressed in blues crying a high pitched wail I see a woman dressed in blues walking towards me
I see a woman dressed in blues trying to find my soul
She sings a blues to me full soul and sadness She sings of pain and of devotion
She sings of a man who left her
She sings of a man who died for her
In the jazz club, she shines in a blues light
In the jazz club, she looks vibrant with life
In the jazz club, she beckons me to the stage In the jazz club, I sit watching her sing
I feel her voice pull me toward that “Home” she sings of She reaches for my arm asking for a touch
And I respond with a kiss
And now I sing the blues
