Woman.

I am a woman,

strong and powerful, with the world in my hands.

Willing to take a stand for all the others to

speak out against the damn stereotypical

idea that we may all be difficult.

Fighting against the physical, and mental abuse that we're put through.

But you won't know unless you're placed in our boots and I know it.

And this is how we show it, we try to love from a distance

but you still take advantage of us right at that very instant that we're

not paying attention.

Look, I know I'm not a lyrical

But there's too much shit on my mental that I want out.

Yeah we may be a little insecure and self-conscious

something that we can't control all the time.

But suppose you were pressed 'cause

the first man you're supposed to look up to just tried to get between your thighs

And suppose that you were born just to listen to and believe in lies

and you just can't take it anymore.

You may or may not understand.

Imagine having to tell your mother that nothing's wrong no more,

when really you don't have the guts to tell the woman who gave you life

that you don't want it anymore.

But you can't be selfish.

It's crazy how people embellish the reality of life.

But we are women. The root of life.

and we have been from the beginning, so we can't give up now.

Cause we'll eventually have a shining light that'll give us what we deserve.

Respect.

Hope it hasn't gone out of style.
