The Witty Maid to Her Master

Sat, 01/27/2018 - 02:30 -- xxj4de

From gazing at your shirt and tie

The sun hath come into my life.

My lord, accept me as your own

And you shall never be alone;

And stars do shine upon our life:

Eye seeing husband and his wife,

And if no star hath shone upon,

Our love will never be at dawn.

Be it your goal to kiss my lips,

To hold my face and bear my hips;

Be me the heaven in your eyne,

Though idle clouds are just as fine.

I do beseech to seek your heart

And hear Jove’s angels play their harps -

The music playing in your ears

Will always be our own to hear.

Do covet me for your desire,

Love and joy shall you acquire,

And if Venus envies our love,

She doth surely envy thereof.

When we meet upon the river,

Seeing hearts and shoulders quiver;

Over wicked we shall there soar,

When your maid, I’ll be no more.
