Within and Without Self
Forward is all we ever know
The change from inside
Outward shame to hide
Toward the present answer, "No."
Who are they to tell me
The personality
That resides deep within me now?
After the words they've painted
My inner voice is tainted
The perpetrators disavow
But change still grows within your bones
Gorse flowering to shield your throne
Content with the new peace you've sown
A solace found when you're alone
This poem is about:
Me
Our world
