Wings

Location

I love you with a love not unprofound

But so gentle, tender, kind

That when the full force hits you

You don’t move an inch.

Like a gentle breeze it lifts your hair

And its tendrils make you smile

And laugh and say that

You love me back.

Your love is strong

But doesn’t push and shove to be heard.

So solid that it

Holds me up

And gathers me in safety’s warm embrace

When all I want to do is fall.

It pulls me in tight

But will always let me go.

My love caresses.

Your love supports.

Together we create

The most beautiful wings.
