Wilderness

Wilderness to me cannot be defined,

only described in demonstrative lines

From green sapping leaves, blue shallow waves

Mountainous hills and endless plains

Sunrise to sunset both in sight

And a starry sky to light the night

Trails aligned with beautiful things

Leading to mother natures wondrous springs

Scenic trees, picturesque waters

Mounds that reach a sky without borders

                                                       Inexplicable connections to wildlife

Bringing love and joy to a world of plight

Wilderness has a way of moving souls

Touching lives and taking a hold

Powerful connections can always be made

Away from the systems that people create

A forest, a desert, a mountain, or sea

Wilderness is here to set us all free
