Why We Smile

A smile can mean anything
With much to smile for
A joke, relief, a hug, perhaps
Joy living ever more

We smile for the strong, green trees
Grown high above our heads
We smile for the butterflies
When winter time is dead

We smile for the blushing woman,
In her veil and white dress
We smile for that special laugh
Only children can possess

We smile for the friendships
That never fade or die
We smile for our holy savior
And heavens in the sky
