Why more work after high school

Everyone is waiting to see what you do with the tools left to you after dreadful high school

Damn the pressure to impress fearlessly strangles the oxygen in my chest

Under watchful public eye I do too try to hide

Can never seem to escape though so I put on my cape

Acceptance to universities take some stress away, now how will I pay

The list of worries never end from school to tuition to majors to what kind of people do I favor

I need support, my time before leaving is very short

Oh no am I scared, I am not ready

Never the less I will have to leave with my heart heavy and looking like a mess
