Why I Pour it Out Through Rhyme
Location
When I was little I loved to rhyme and carry paper and pencil in hand
Sadly, momma discouraged me saying crunch numbers, math is in demand
However literature and poetry have always been my muse
I could spill my heart out day to day in different ways
Especially days i wished my father didn't use
But their were better days where I'd express myself clearer on paper than having to speak
I'd rather others read what I had to say instead of hearing me talk and think I was weak
Weak because of my Samoan figure, my nerdy rayban glasses, or crazy hair
But writing poetry helped zone out, imagine, and soon I didn't care
I later learned that their are a few people willing to listen instead of hear
I'd read my emotions and they'd stand up and cheer
They'd compliment my subtle yet asinine visionary words
And they'd appreciate my body language when expressing a verb
For they looked past my appearance my lisp, and appreciated my written work
But also they realized its whats inside that counts and them being my acquaintances was just a perk.
