Why I like poetry I cannot say
Perhaps it releases the emotions of my unwholistic day.
As I sit in a room and stare away, there's nothing worthwhile I must say.
As I face the mirror and see a saddened, expressionless face
I realize why I write poetry.
It is my secret escape to an unrealistic world where I can
Deliver my sorrow, agony, and pain.
For my parents aren't with me
to give me a brighter day...
To make it go away...
I must face this world on my own intrinsic way.
For poetry has given me what others have
Shattered away.
