Why do I need feminism?
Because in a world of hate,
I have to love myself
Or no one will
Because I cannot
walk down the street at night
Without the fear of men
Because my father
Taught me to fear the human body
Instead of cherish it
Because in this world
Women need to be nice
And soft and pretty
Because I am put down
For being strong, independent,
And for this, I am labeled a bitch
Because I am labeled
a prude
For saying no
Because I am labeled
A slut
For saying yes
I need feminism
Because I am a woman
And I have rights
