Why Can't We All Have and Share Red Wheelbarrows? In response to William Carlos Williams

So much depends upon

The simple things in life

That when we lose our sight

Of how we must hold on

It all falls down like rain

In one great massive flood

That turns it all to mud

And like a horse go lame

Without the simple things

That keep us living so,

Keep us from saying no.

We'll surely gain some dings

Because we have our dreams

We do not need much else

So what? The candle melts

At least men work in teams

We don't work hard enough

In this world turned to hate

We don't cooperate

It makes a mans life tough

We fall so far until

We can't pick our selves up

So we stay down to sup

No friend can we find still
