Why do I write?

I represent all of

The people who think they're voiceless

And feel like they have no love

 

Why do I write?

For the sake of wasting time

Even though I have none

To say is mine

 

Why do I write?

"I am a poet. I live to write"

Yes, that is true

Needless to say, I love what I do

 

Why do I write?

Why do birds sing?

Why do mother's worry?

Why do timers go "ding"?

 

Writing unlocks the cage

That's supposed to banish imagination forever

Writing, is the key to

Keeping yourself TOGETHER.
