Why hate?

When there is so much more

Satisfaction in love

When we can adore

One another with less energy

And compassion

Requires less thought

But more action.

Why see differences?

Where there are none

To be found

When all is said and done

You and I are the same

In all but minor things, like color

And we each have dreams

No need for imagined squalor.

Why dissent?

When children are crying

We should aid each other

To stop the needless dying

To no more claim difficulty

And instead join hands

In improving the world

Across not one, but all lands.

What would I change?

In this world of violence

Is a promotion of peace

And find the balance

Between good and bad

But most of all would be

To find equality

Between you and me.
