Who's Missing

A constantly nagging reminder

Release me, mind, from my lover's grip

Return! Come quickly back my elation

Can I endure your absence this trip?

Perhaps not a trip, but death did take

Missing you often, I think on you still

Is this a dream?  I'll not ever awake

That's what I thought the day you fell ill

Or maybe a friend who's left you behind

A queer moment that bids you remind

When you miss someone.
