Whisper

It starts with a whisper
And moves to the whistling of the wind
Shattered glass scattered on the floor
An open door that knows you’ve sinned
A faint cry has a deafening reach
For moments that have passed on by
You witness o’er again as they breach
Replaying in your mind
To the people you’ve saved within the light of your soul
You’ve received judgment for what’s left alone
There is no such bitterness, nor that of any sole
Kind of wisdom in the words of God, Emmanuel
God with us, his opened heart
Gave me, his worthy lamb of suffering
Whose blood has become strangely tart
Cleansing me from a world of shame
Bless me for I am still enough
Take away my weight and reign
Forever Lord let light pour
From the story of life
Life ends with hope
Hope for something beautiful without strife
And a new blessing of perfection
Working on the binding of uniqueness
Knowing that the pure bliss of this resurrection
Starts with a whisper
