Where I Belong

Where I Belong

Since I was little I aspired to be just like my grandmother

Work in a school and have a family

I loved always going to take your child to work day with her

Going in to high school I was scared

First public school I’ve ever gone to

I didn’t know anybody

My first class was Biology and I felt so out of place

Second class was math, oh goodness

Third period was Honors English…. And finally I felt like I walked into somewhere I belonged

I sat there in my desk remembering all the short stories I wrote when I was little

The books I taught myself to read when I was two years old

This is where I belonged

I write for enjoyment

For the memories

For the understanding of what I was going through during those times

To possibly understand what my future daughter may go through

To get a better perspective from someone else’s shoes

For my love of producing a work of art

Writing will always be my safe spot

Writing is how I found my spot in this huge world

Xoxo
