I remember a time when

Scientists were heroes, and

Respected people, who then

Shared their discoveries to enrich the land.

And yet, in this new era,

This new dark day,

The people of America

Shun the people of intellect, and push away

From progress. And inevitably this cannot be

Sustainable. A world without progress

Becomes a dying world. How can we not see

That the people we elect in Congress,

And the highest offices in the land, do not care about science or fact,

But only about themselves? If we want to survive, it is up to us to act.
