WHERE IS THE FUTURE?

Will it find me
old, cold, dead and long gone
I talk about the future
The one you promised before I was born
To the childhood mucus of my mother
On a visit to her primary school
You gave her false hope
That among them was the president
Who lead Uganda's future
................
Where is the future
that you promise?
to the off springs of my generation
It must be hidden under your armpit
Or still in its mother's womb
When will the future come
to be embraced by its new president?
The future you talk about
will it find me
old, cold, dead and long gone
