When you Realize

When your friends words finally sink in,

When your notice your family dripping subtle hints,

And when you realize the web of lies.

When you realize.

When you notice the far away looks.

When you notice the not so gentle touch.

And when you feel lonely when you're together.

When you realize.

When you stay when you should go,

Then comes the first blow.

When you forgive with the first apology.

Then the next hit has a stronger sting.

When the next apology isn't so sweet.

And when the hits come more and more,

And your body gets really sore.

When you finally realize it's time to go,

Is when it's too late.

When you finally realize you've made yourself his to own.
