When the Painkillers Wear Off

Sun, 06/01/2014 - 01:35 -- DaXue

Hello, hello,

My dearest friend
I see you've come to call again
To chop my days
To shred my nights
And wake me well before morning's light.
As much as I
Expect your stay
I greatly wish you'd go away
I quite despise
The gifts you bring;
They only increase my suffering.
Yet you invite
Such raucous guests
These vicious pests I quite detest
They bruise my jaw
They bite my face
And they never give me any space.
In short, this is
Most unpleasant;
I do so wish that we could end it
If you go your way
And let me go mine
I think we both will do just fine.
