What Makes You Happy?

When The Dreams Are Limitless, The Possibilities Are Endless

What makes me happy?

You could say a cute puppy or a hot cup of tea,

But what really uplifts me

Is the mere possibility

That I can be

A change in the world just by being me.

Day to day

I dream and wonder and plan how to change the world in my own special way

And it starts when I say “Okay,

Today’s the day.”

I’m already inspired

So it’s time to get wired

And maybe a little tired

In the process to change the world

One step at a time

In a hand that’s mine

I’ve already captured the world just in time

To spend a few thousand dimes

In my everlasting climb

To change the world

Maybe I’ll teach in Thailand,

Heal in Haiti,

Cook in the Congo,

Innovate in India,

Or film in France.

They say you can reach for the clouds, touch the sky

But I want to know what cloud nine feels like when I fly

I want to know how it feels to really, truly make a difference, not just skate by

Life is worth so much more than that

Who knows what the world has in store for me?

But as long as I can see

The seven seas

And everything in between

Well, gee,

I’d be as happy as I could possibly be.
