Wheat and tares
Matthew 13:29-30 New English Translation (NET Bible)
29 But he said, ‘No, since in gathering the darnel you may uproot the wheat along with it. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At harvest time I will tell the reapers, “First collect the darnel and tie it in bundles to be burned, but then gather the wheat into my barn.”’”
What a week … seems just a breath
Days disappearing in some-thingness
Whatever has been left behind?
Will it grow or die in nothingness?
How many seeds fell to the ground?
Did I water somewhere needed?
Was fertilizer and shovel in my hand?
To help the growth of the heeded
Did I trim the useless branches?
But who decided them to be burned?
Is it not Him, Who knows the difference
between the wheat and tares within?
Who makes me judge over the "fallen"?
Am I not a doer of the law to be?
Is my standard now appalling
Do so others see the fake in me?
Where to go when stuck in traffic?
How to leave the highway of destination?
Blocked are exits by the baffled
As wasted fuel pollutes my sense of fiction
