What's the Mask For?

this blinged out mask

yes, it's filled with smiles and laughs

yet it hides the real reactions from the questions you ask

life gets down the best of us

to the point where you feel like you can't go on

but when you get caught up in lust

the curtains might be drawn for others to see who you really are

not all smiles & laughs, but tears & frowns

wheare are those that said, if you need anything i'll be around??

lies, deceit, loneliness

i know it all too well

when will it be over

only time can tell

one may ask "what is the mask for?"

to hide a sensitive, flawed, widely ignored

young woman with only life goals

that make her hustle hard

with a heart and soul of gold

genuine as can be
