What You Once Had
Do you ever have those nights
Where you just feel empty.
Like, a part of you is missing;
One in which no one can see.
This missing part is not physical
But is rather something you feel.
It causes a pain so tormenting;
A pain so surreal.
But yet you get enojyment from this pain;
an oxymoron at its finest.
When the heart and brain feud
The two that cannot coexist.
You remember what you once had
Something you only previously dreamt.
But now that she is gone
From happiness — you are exempt.
But then you —
realize.
You have nothing.
You feel nothing.
You see nothing.
You are nothing.
All this time, just —
real lies.
