What You Didn't Know

I walk around with a smile on my face

I excel in all parts of my life

I make people laugh when they forget how

But you don't know

What you didn't know is: I say the worst things about myself

What you don't know is: how I scar my body

What you don't know is: how broken I am on the inside

What you don't know is: how hard I try to make others happy, so they don't experience what I am

But what you don't know can't hurt you right?

Wrong

I reached out but you pushed me back

I tried to fly but you pushed me down

I asked for help but you turned your back on me

What you didn't do, hurt me

But what you didn't know, killed me
