WHAT NOW?

Location

So, we sit
We wait
What now?
The smooth, seductive sound
Of the blues swim around us
The intoxicating moods that shift all around
I look at you
You look at me
Tick, Tock
Time’s rushing by
A second too early
A second too late
What now?
You move, I become hesitant
Not because of body language
No, just the way your eyes reveal the truth
Danger that pulls me in, draws me towards you
I stop, and you keep moving closer
As I feel your breath
Right against my cheek,
As we move to the beat,
And one look says it all,
What we could be,
What we should be
I drown in your eyes
Looking at you, looking at me
And we will be here forever
But, what now?
