What If Tomorrow Never Comes?

Life, they say is fleeting,
with a breath and a shadow.
So why choose hate
when love heals deeper wounds?
Wounds deeper as the ocean.

Why hold grudges,
when forgiveness frees the soul?
Don’t let your heart
become a graveyard of regrets,
heavy with unsaid apologies
and chances left untaken.

While today still breathes,
choose to release the pain,
and extend the hand of peace,
with this soothing voice, “I forgive.”

For tomorrow may be too late,
with a song unsung,
a dream left unfulfilled.
What if tomorrow never comes?
Would you not have wished
to leave behind
the lightness of love
and the warmth of kindness?
