What I was when-

It was when he smiled and laughed at me,

saying I was a push over,

but didn't take advantage.

It was when he stared at me silently, asking

if I was okay when others

couldn't see the pain.

It was when he looked at me sometimes and

stared, almost as if he could see the seams,

then smile and shared any story.

It was when we were on the same boat and

we loved the people who had hurt us,

and laughed at our stupidity.

It was when we could say anything without fear

and know we couldn't tell why we hurt

but understood that we just did.

It was at 6 13 am when I found out I

fell in love with my ex's

younger brother.

It was at 6 16 am when I realized I

could never tell anyone,

including him.
