What I Had To

I can not stand who I am
As I rise above my grave
I hate all things I done
As you lean on the Pastor
As he prays
He gives you peace
While I find mine
I laid my neck in the noose
And my hate kicked the chair
Look at the world
They care but crush you
Everyone is the demon
That haunts both of us
Your time is almost over
I want you to be happy
I stepped back and looked at my life
All those I hurt
As I slit my wrist over hurting you
I break my bones over the king
But while I burn the city
I did what I thought I had to
But did not look at who I hurt
Honor to all
But salvation to the few
I pushed the careful
And drank with the careless
In life I was a Devil
But now in the blackness of this limbo
I am a saint
The ashes of those I killed in my lungs
I hurt those that meant most to me
And guarded the ones who hurt all
I march with the wrong army
I fight against you
Shadows held the light
While you broke through
So dry your eyes
This is not your fault
I did what I had to do
Those are happy
Now passed the gate
While I am forced to make things right
In the forest as a ghost
Trying to find What I really mean
To you
And to all
