I wish I was an astronomist

I look at the stars and all that comes into mind

is how much I don't know about the world

I wish I was an expert

not just about space

but about physics,

anatomy,

biology

But what gets my mind turning 

is one thing alone-

as different rivers flow into a singular ocean

my knowledge somehow connects in a way  

that makes me an expert of myself

I may not know quantum physics

But I know how dark I like my chocolate

my favorite kinds of movies,

my ideal Saturday night

I know myself

And that's enough
