What is Fear?

How do you describe fear?

Is there even a way that would come across as clear?

You see everyone's definition of fear is so different,

So how could you describe it in a way that is content?

For some fear could be loosing those they love.

For others it could be not knowing what to do when push comes to shove.

Fear is so simple, yet so complex

Because one could think of fear as a multiplex.

The word fear is defined as an unpleasant emotion,

But let's be honest; that's like saying a sea is the same as an ocean.

Sadness is an emotion that is unpleasant,

Fear is more like an unwarranted natural present.

Fear claws at your mind,

raging war unlike any other kind.

It tricks you into thinking that there is nothing you could do,

other than seeing it through.

But it never stops and never goes away;

because once you catch fear its there to stay!

Once fear is in your mind, everything seems to fall apart;

Because fear is not something you can simply outsmart.

It's always changing from person to person,

and with time it begins to worsen.

So ask yourself how do you describe fear,

in a way that everyone could understand it loud and clear?

Possibly an ultimate form of selfishness and a great "Lack of Love" for others? etc.
