Of what

An ubiquitous stillness, silence
Snapped the olive branch
The parents they wept
They wept
They wept
While the children they slept
They slept
 they slept
An insidious laughter echoed in the nebulous reminiscence of a broken society
A whisper cried out "help"
Just one soft, and simple yelp
Out of the suffocating, ominous blanket of black
A portent of hope illuminates
And suffocates the end
The clandestine flash
Of light
Of light
Of light
Of what
Of what
Of what
