We're So Starving

Location

We're so Starving.

Looking in the mirror, mistaking what we see for what we believe

Knowing the media makes billions of off billions of insecurities.

Humans on their knees, ashamed to feed

their minds, their bodies, and their souls.

No energy.

When starving for society

becomes a little girl’s reality

because we can’t accept what’s on TV

is nothing but a fantasy.

We’re so starving.

Why do we measure our days in calories

 instead of making memories?

Thank God for our bread daily,

then forget those without the choice know

We’re lucky.

Yet we’re still plagued with disease.

No cosmetic will make her feel pretty.

For him, no product could appease.

In the end our stomachs aren’t the only things left

Empty.
