Enter the Central District
Observe the milling of hims and hers coming together to create a sea of indecipherable faces
stretching out in front of me
I am a pale rose careful don't step on me
hello nice to meet you
my petals become tainted with the colors of the rainbow
purity is a foreign word
hello nice to meet you becomes "damn girl I see you jiving"
I don't remain a girl but become an identity
I become part of a culture. This is what it's like to breathe
the fresh air of the salted sea
I can be white and he can be black and she can be hispanic but all that matters is that we all bleed
Red
we all bleed the same color on the inside you and I are equals
so why waste time
pretending to be a rose
when you can be all the flowers in the garden?
