A Watchful Eye

Location

Shelled and gutted on the floor

He doesn't want her anymore.

Scraps and pieces, broken bits

Late night tantrums and bloody fists.

Lava streaming down her face

Trying to believe he's not worth the chase.

Foolish and stupid, she should've known

Instead of listening, she's now alone.

"Oh save me!" she cries at the moon.

The protector of secrets, the keeper of dreams.

"Take my pain away!" she wails, as the moon gleams.

"Heartache hurts, but it can be healed" replies the moon

"I'll give you my own love, and your heart will be sealed."
