The War we Call our Own

A world of absolute silence,
Disturbed by nature.
The pitter-patter of rain,
Drowning out all else.

The eternal sound of nothing,
Created by ourselves.
A place of beauty and peace,
We cherish our love.

The chemistry of humankind,
Berated by the mind.
A talent against all odds,
Fighting all who run.

There is a challenge at home,
Waiting to rise again.
A war on our selfish hands,
A world without peace.

This is why all of us must rise,
We must all be our best.
We must destroy all the rest,
They can't win this time.
