Walls Burn

I watched as the stars began to burn.

And my tears fell as the walls crumbled.

The destruction was beautiful

as a fire destroying everything in its path.

And as beautiful as Jericho when it fell,

and as terrifying as the cries from hell.

And your hand held mine and I cried,

because for the first time it was okay to feel.
