Walls

Thu, 11/08/2018 - 20:09 -- gaby.vv

We wither and wallow within willful walls,
But as was Newton by a tree,
A wall struck inspiration into me.
Walls aren't solely constructed of the house,
But the Senate and the rest as well.
They convince us to call home,
A one-sided mirror box.
A/C, heat, wifi: propaganda promotes prison,
And all we get is small windows--
Of truth,
Blindingly bright light...
So we cover them with curtains like a bandaid on a freshly severed limb.
