Waiting

I’ve got friends across the globe

But none of them are as complicated as you.

You stay on a high and low like you’re bipolar.

And your face is so drained that your only energy is solar.

You let me in then you kick me out.

Your heart’s a upset landlord, what’s that all about?

You tell me things that no one knows;

Next minute no emotion shows.

I have a ring full of keys to get through to you.

But I open one door and behind it are two.

There’s just no winning with you.

You’re like those state fair games that cheat.

And I’m the customer that can’t accept defeat.

I have to get through to you; I know I will.

Even if two years later I’m jumping through hoops still.

Cuz I’m your best friend and I’ll be here forever.

So I’ll wait for you to see more than that; and the day I give up will be

Never.
