What have we done to get here?

Not here

As in here, here,

That’s all a matter of steps,

But where we are now.

 

How many side trips have we taken,

road after road

down each tangent line

Searching.

For what?

 

Is it for that one unattainable thing?

That no one knows but has always dreamed about.

 

In the middle of

searching,

We have come here

All together in a coincidence of

Fate.

Chance.

Destiny.

 

Whatever it may be.

 

And so now, we are

measuring each day with terms of

Greatness.

Achievement.

Fulfillment.

 

But what are they to us?

Do they mean to be the measure of us?

How can we measure every day in

Appearances?

What does that one word mean?

 

It changes constantly yet society

Demands

that

Judgement

must be

Dictated

by the

Rules

of

 

Appearances.

 

Rule 1:

that one thing cannot be

attained without following

Appearances.

 

But the greatest things to ever

Be

are the Appearances not followed.

 

Dictated by the rules of

Mind.

Self.

Sense.

 

Whatever IT may be.

 

In the middle of searching,

We find ourselves stuck on

Appearances.

Unable to move on and forward,

Unable to see past,

Unable to continue on the journey

of

Lost Roads.

Side Roads.

Back Roads

 

So as we approach Here,

Appearances move on and we

Realize

that Appearances

Do.

Not .

Matter.

 

And that one thing-

Glory.

Fame.

Fortune.

Does not need to be dictated by

Appearance

 

Greatness.

Achievement.

Fulfillment.

All aspects of the thing but not a solid

Definition

of it.

 

Other side roads

Around

other back roads

Finding

other lost roads.

 

All the while

Searching for that

thing

 

The roads that surround it,

but do not lead to it

are what Appearances

Should be.

 

Have we focused on

Appearances  

in order to get Here?

 

It doesn’t matter.

 

All that does matter is what we have

Done

in order to get

Here.

 

Experience.
