A Voiceless Cry to Be Heard

A cry arose from the crowd
Then came another
A sister, a brother
Shouting above to be heard, be proud

What is truth? What is justice?
Turns are taken
Voices shaken
You, they, are equally us!

The bullet is drawn out
Words are sworn
Can't be torn
Freedom and hope over doubt

A myriad of witnesses
Of liberty
of life and the
pursuit of happiness
