You be provoking this anger
when I simply wanna smile,
I know you believe that the whole world is against us
and there is no justice, but maybe it’s just us
I don’t know what has gotten into me
this could be the end of me, I become my own enemy
I have so much negativity with this demon trapped inside of me
I can’t take it, I want it to all end
It seems like those who want to live, die
and those who want to die, live
I’m sorry this earth isn’t an assured place
filled with pain and suffering seems like such a waste,
I can’t see nothing but darkness, I could only hear the screams
this wasn’t supposed to be me
Vain to the light of God

Those who hoarded possessions and those who lavishly spent it,
I was one of them; I couldn’t help it,
From diamond rings to gold chains
there shining so bright, but that’s not the light
It’s darkness in disguise, messing up my sight
Having everything was one of my obsessions, I guess you could say
it was a lust for money not for my own benefit
and now I’m stuck here in the bottomless pit of hell, wanting to yell
sittin here furious, delirious nothing but curious
what if this wasn’t for me, thinking of what I could be
Vain to the light of God
