Vacation
John 8:36 New English Translation (NET Bible)
36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be really free.
Vacation
Freedom in the Rockies only confined by space
Moving down the highway seeing what the Lord has made
Dancing in the sunshine here and there some snow
Even in high places where some bushes grow
Life is awful pretty surviving in a desert place
Who can really quench it not even the human race?
Mile after mile a world of sand and stone
It's here where the West was won by just one alone
Once here roamed the buffalo without any fences
Now it is all plotted out and possessed by denseness
Man of the world has land’s titles to their name
They worked and deserved it possibly without shame
There is nothing like America the land of the free
I rather am here now than where I wish to be
Roaming on the highways on surfaces of tar
No one here to stop me as I travel on afar
Always kind of protected by a throng just like me
Even now in a hurry for a place I need to be
A place to get rest as we are plotting on
I could have stayed at home where I can get along
Places not known to me at every bend are hurled
The sights I am seeing seem out of this world
So all these things are worth it as an unknown song
I’ll keep on this path as I’ll keep traveling on
All the folk I meet here I already met at home
Some strange and common, some picked to the bone
I always seem to meet a neighbor where ever I go
Maybe that’s the lesson now I truly start to know
Not looking for tomorrow for today is full
Filled with the busyness of all as everyone’s the fool
Today we’ll hit the road again at times just guessing
but above all to realize that freedom is a blessing
